I booked deluxe double room with photographs from Sri Lanka, a large bed plus the shower which turned out to be a quiet room. The location met required needs, it was magnificent to the Temple of the Tooth-the Colonial ambience of the property that takes one back in time into another era.

During our Christmas stay, we absolutely loved the colonial charm of this historic inn. The antique furniture and interesting pictures created a unique atmosphere that made us feel like we had stepped back in time. The location was also perfect, with easy walking distance to the main attractions of the city. We especially enjoyed the terrace that overlooked the bustling street, where we could enjoy dinner and drinks while watching the locals play cricket. The restaurant offered a delicious welcome dish of spicy chickpeas, and the food in the evening was equally delightful.
There were a few aspects that we found disappointing. our room was described as deluxe, but it was small and lacked basic amenities like a TV and tea making facilities.

The rooms here are well-equipped with a mini fridge bar, air conditioning, and a personal safe, and the bed is comfortable with a nice-sized bath, all in a convenient location close to everything we wanted to explore.

We loved this hotel's central location near the major sights and its friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The room was clean and stylishly furnished, and the hotel had interesting common areas full of old photos. Breakfast was delicious, featuring a tasty fruit platter and cooked Western breakfast options.
Not one thing.

We had a fantastic stay at Royal Bar & Hotel in Kandy. The beautifully restored heritage building and lovely furnishings created a charming atmosphere. The stone courtyard, balcony, and inner courtyard made for peaceful retreats. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a great breakfast with a variety of options. Despite the small rooms, they were cozy and equipped with aircon and mosquito nets. The front office lent us a modem for fast internet connection. The hotel's colonial British style and central location were truly an amazing find.
Would recommend this hotel.

We loved the charming colonial style of the hotel, especially the terrace and courtyard. The central location was convenient and provided a peaceful oasis. The staff, particularly a young employee, went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Despite a few minor issues with the room, our overall experience was positive.

Staff members are very hospitable and provide excellent service. the breakfast offers a variety of freshly baked pastries, fruit and a choice of hot dishes. Rooms have comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms with hot water.
Some aspects of the hotel, such as decor and room amenities, could benefit from updates to provide a better guest experience.
